Where Have I Been? See if You Can Tell

It’s a game for you to play if you want.

** Edited to add that Hudi is definitely the winner in the family category, and Tina is the non-family winner. Great job! You all guessed a lot of these! Answers are now in the captions. **

“Never apologize for not posting in a while. It just calls attention to it.” That’s advice I often give bloggers. And I believe it, but I also relate to the guilt they feel as they put up a post after a long absence. And confession is always a good thing after an action that instills guilt. I get it.

For me, this time, I felt overwhelmed by all the things I wanted to post about.  So many experiences and life events I wanted to share. I got some out there, but ran out of time for the rest. So I’m going to do it all in one shot now. Get the images up and move on, feeling caught up.

So I’m going to make it a game.

According to Google, I have been on 43 trips so far this year. See if you can:

  • Tell where I was
  • For bonus points – name the event 🙂
  • And for SUPER bonus points – feel free to add a story or anecdote from the occasion 😀

Please describe which image you are referring to when you post your answers.

To make things a bit easier, I only did occasions from mid-April through October.

Ready? Steady? GO!!!!

I will post the answers in captions next week — or as the answers are given if I have time.

  1. So fun! So let’s see..the one of me with a ticket stuck to my head is at the After Party of WordCamp Toronto. (What the heck was I doing?). 3 beneath that is Meagan Hanes presenting at WordCamp Rochester. The one of Meagan and her uke is from WordCamp Hamilton. Down and to the right of that one is when you all sang Happy Birthday to me at the speaker dinner for WordCamp Rochester. I’m so glad we’ve gotten to spend so much time in the same places together this year! <3

    • Loved meeting your officially in Durham and seeing your again at GM. And feel the same about working with you 🙂

  2. I’m not good at games, particularly this one, but I love you anyway. I’ll tell you where you didn’t travel — to our house!!!! We’ll wait. We know you are terribly busy.

    • Oh, The call of the mountains. Better yet the ones I love that dwell there. Hopefully someday soon … 🙂 Love you, too.

  3. Chrissie, this is a great idea! I love it and I am so happy that I can be a part of it and so grateful to be your friend! So, let’s play.

The one with the sushi boat is Chris’ first time trying sushi (I think the place was called “I love sushi” on Dundas st west, Etobicoke, Canada) and we ended up ordering so many things that we all forgot who ordered what when the food arrived (but we ate everything, LOL).
The one with several of us sitting in the pub (I believe image id#3776) was right after WordCamp Toronto 2016 – Firkin on Yonge, Toronto, ON.
The one with Meagan and ukulele is at WC Hamilton 2016 (I can see Brian Hogg sitting there:-)).
There are several pictures taken from Automattic annual gathering at Whistler, BC, Canada and few with your Mother-in-law at her place (the other side of Lake Ontario:-)).
I think that the one with CJ and Sam is from the Buffallo meetup.

I hope my playing here was better than with the table tennis, LOL.

    • Wow! I think you are a contender for winner, along with Hudi 🙂 Congrats! That sushi place was amazing. Chris had eaten sushi before, but nothing quite like that! We have to go there again, I think. I love looking across the lake when I go there, knowing what great friends I have on the other side. I’m so thankful for our friendship.
