Day 9/30 – When I think of the horrors of war, and what suffering people go through, I often think of basic medication. And the lack of it.
I have allergies, and without nose drops and two pills, I’m a pretty miserable human being. What would my life be like without them? Instead of sleeping, I’d probably be doing everything I could to avoid scratching my eyes into oblivion. That would make me exhausted and cranky, lashing at all around me unfairly. And I’m certain my brain function would not be optimal.
Today I’m really thankful that I have regular access to medication.
- For November (the month in which we celebrate Thanksgiving in the US), I’m trying to blog about something for which I’m thankful for each day of the month.
