God’s in His Heaven

The year’s at the spring
And day’s at the morn;
Morning’s at seven;
The hillside‘s dew-pearled;
The lark‘s on the wing;
The snail‘s on the thorn;
God’s in his heaven–
All’s right with the world
.

–Robert Browning

IMG_5490.jpgI’m recently left Utah, after a visit with 4/6 of my “children” ( 3 sons and their amazing women in total), and this poem could not be more applicable. The memories of the moments and feelings I now embrace will help me through dark moments of my future life. I am so thankful.

How I wish I could share with you, beyond words, the feeling of peace and warmth emanating from the fire before me as the open door to my right brings fresh air and the beauty of snowy mountains (when I wrote this, a few days ago).

If I should disappear from the earth today, it would be okay. My kids are thriving. God’s in His heaven, and all is right with the world.

P.S. What’s with all the guys and their “hands in pocket” poses? Like father, like sons. 😉

    • It was so funny, when we all got dressed and gathered together we realized we were all wearing red shirts and black pants (except for Chris). Lauren went back and changed to something different so we didn’t look too silly. Zeb saw that Chris was wearing blue, so he went and got a different colored shirt as well. CJ took off his red over-shirt. We were laughing about it.
